Virtual Annual Toast

Virtual Annual Toast

Please join us to celebrate our BOMA Community and elect new directors at BOMA San Francisco’s Annual Membership Meeting, AKA our "Annual Toast", via Zoom on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, 3:30 – 4:00 p.m. The Annual Toast is BOMA's business meeting where we celebrate our achievements, thank our corporate sponsors, elect new board members, and this year, meet BOMA's newly announced Executive VP, John Bryant.

Despite our turbulent year, we have reason to celebrate members who are making a difference within our organization, and we’ll thank a couple of Board members who are completing their term of service.

Directors Election

Two positions on the BOMA board for a 3-year term of service are open, and our Leadership Development and Nominating Committee’s recommended candidates for these openings are as follows:

Jose Guevara, RPA, LEED AP, Senior Portfolio Manager – Bay Area Properties, American Assets Trust

Jose Guevara is a lifelong San Franciscan and 25-year Bay Area commercial real estate professional, presently with American Assets Trust, a San Diego based Real Estate development, ownership and management company.

Jose has been a member of several BOMA San Francisco committees, including the Historical Buildings Committee which he has chaired for several years, the Energy & Environment Committee, Emergency Preparedness Committee, and the Events Committee. He has represented BOMA on the Board of San Francisco’s Better Market Street Project for the past 4 years. He is also a member of TMASF Connects and the USGBC. Jose has been an instructor in San Francisco, East Bay and Sacramento for BOMA’s RPA Program and Foundations courses since 2008.

Kari Aycock, LEED AP, Senior Property Manager, Hines

Since joining Hines in 2004, Kari has been intimately involved in the management and operations of 55 Second Street, 2100 Powell, Fifty Fremont, 120/100 Montgomery, and the PG&E General Office Complex. Kari is responsible for all property operations at Ygnacio Center for Oaktree Capital Management, and Construction Management at Bay Area Hines Properties.

Kari is one of the co-founding members of the Hines Green Team which serves to guide the firm’s overall sustainable initiatives and has led several team efforts to attain LEED for Existing Building and Commercial Interior projects. He has also served on the BOMA Energy & Environment Committee and was selected for the City of San Francisco’s Commercial Building Energy Efficiency Task Force.

Prior to joining Hines, Mr. Aycock gained 8-years of experience in the commercial real estate industry with several Bay Area property management firms, working with 185 Berry, 1650 Mission, 633 Folsom, 1301 Shoreway, 333 Townsend, 1611 Telegraph and 1945 Broadway in Oakland.

Voting members will be asked to cast their vote in support of these two candidates as proposed by BOMA’s Leadership Development and Nominating Committee. For our election, voting members are defined as "one representative for each Principal (or building) member".

We look forward to welcoming you at our Annual Toast via Zoom at 3:30 p.m. on October 27, 2020. Please reserve your spot by RSVPing to Sylwia Preis, [email protected].
