Did you know that the City & County of San Francisco will likely require new structural compliance standards of existing tall building owners?

Attendees will hear from preparedness experts in the public and private sectors on what members need to know to protect the lives of those in the building and gain resources to help YOU and YOUR TEAM be better educated and prepared for emergencies. 

Keynote Presenter: Danny Murtagh, Vice President, Boston Properties

Murtagh will address little-known aspects of power outages in dense high-rise commercial office buildings using real-world examples. A long-term power shut off is a possibility and this information is paramount for all building teams. A native San Franciscan, Murtagh has worked in commercial real estate for the last 32 years in the Bay Area. After serving in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and working for an HVAC contractor in the 70’s, he began his current career path starting as a stationary engineer in 1981. He worked his way up to his current position with Boston Properties as Director of Engineering for the San Francisco Region where he directs facilities operation & maintenance, infrastructure capital improvement projects as well as leads due diligence on acquisition, disposition and development opportunities.
