David Montanez joined Local 39 in his father’s footsteps 16 years ago. He graduated the Stationary Engineers Apprenticeship program in 2010. David began working with Paramount Group in 2014 as Assistant Chief at One Market Plaza, a Class A high rise in Downtown San Francisco, before becoming Chief Engineer in 2016. He currently oversees 14 Stationary Engineers and 1.8 million sq/ft at One Market Plaza. During his time as Chief, he has obtained his LEED GA Certification, has successfully led several energy efficiency projects, while achieving and maintaining a LEED Platinum Certification. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends on the lake, golfing, and completing projects at home.
Matt Montanez, Engineering Manager, Licensed BREEAM Assessor | Able Services
Matt Montanez has more than 16 years of engineering experience in the SF Bay Area. He worked his way through the ranks starting as a Utility Engineer, and eventually becoming a Chief Engineer. While being a Chief Engineer, he implemented energy efficient ideologies saving the building owners thousands of dollars while still maintaining Class 1A high-rise quality service. Matt was promoted with Able Services to Engineering Manager and now oversees engineering accounts throughout Northern California.
