2022 RPA | Ethics is Good Business

The Ethics is Good Business class is scheduled in two, three-hour increments on the following days: November 17-18 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The class will be held virtually on BOMI's learning platform.

Ethics Is Good Business® ShortCourse™ will provide you with the tools to make sound ethical decisions. As you will discover, the information in this course book provides a framework for analyzing and responding to ethical problems. During this ShortCourse, you will read passages that reinforce the key concepts and issues presented. You will also encounter specific case studies that illustrate the need for you to have a firm ethical foundation for the decisions you will make. Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of fundamental ethical terms
  • Understand moral reasoning
  • Identify potential ethical challenges and apply two theoretical ethical approaches to them
  • Resolve difficult issues by employing an ethical decision-making model
  • Cite examples of companies embracing a triple bottom line philosophy, and identify how the concept can be implemented in your organization

INSTRUCTOR: Tawni Sullivan, RPA | Alexandria Real Estate Equities
Tawni Sullivan is the Senior Vice President – Asset Services for Alexandria Real Estate Equities, a publicly traded company dedicated to Building the Future of Life Changing Innovation. Her responsibilities to the organization include Leading Asset Management teams, mitigating risk and meeting financial objectives.  She has worked in Commercial real estate for over 30 years with both individual Owners of real estate, as well as institutional Clients. Prior to joining ARE, Tawni was the Associate Managing Director of Asset Services for CBRE in the Bay Area.

Tawni serves on the Board of Directors for the Transportation Management of San Francisco and CREATE (Commercial Real Estate Alliance for Tomorrow’s Employees). CREATE is an alliance of BOMA San Francisco, NAIOP, IREM, and BOMA Oakland East Bay in an effort of workforce development in Commercial Real Estate.

Registration Fee: $550.00
Registration includes a digital book of the course. Printed books are an additional $60.

RPA designation fee: $225 – applies to new students only. If you’re interested in taking a single course without enrolling in the designation, it is an additional $100.
