Career Success Workshop: Advocacy 101

**REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED**

As emerging professionals in the commercial real estate industry, your current position and future career goals are intricately tied to BOMA San Francisco’s #1 value proposition to those entities that are members of BOMA: ADVOCACY.

Government, at every level – but especially in San Francisco, has the ability to legislate and regulate the commercial real estate industry in almost anyway it sees fit. That’s where John Bozeman, BOMA San Francisco’s Director of Government and Industry Affairs and the members of BOMA’s five advocacy related committee’s come into play. Taxes, environmental regulations, building and fire codes, earthquake resiliency – all of these issues and many more have a major impact on how building owners, managers, and associate members operate within the industry and your position.

Member involvement is key to effective advocacy and at this forum, you’ll hear directly from member advocacy leaders who do the hard work – almost daily – to protect our members from harmful government action and/or support those that are a benefit.

Moderator: John Bozeman, BOMA San Francisco’s Director of Government and Industry Affiars;
BOMA San Francisco’s Advocacy Committee Chairs – (invited):  BOMA SF-PAC; Codes & Regulations; Emerency Preparedness; Energy & Environment; Government Affairs
