BOMA SF Book Club Meeting

BOMA SF Book Club Inaugural Event: Exploring "Dare to Lead" by Brené Brown

Enhance your leadership savvy by joining us for BOMA SF Book Club’s inaugural event on March 11, 2021.  We’ll discuss Brené Brown’s bestselling book, "Dare to Lead – Brave Work. Tough Conversations. Whole Hearts," get tips from seasoned BOMA members and mix in some networking. As we tackle new workplace challenges, learn from this inspiring author and your BOMA peers.

Dare to Lead - "Leadership is not about titles, status, and wielding power. A leader is anyone who takes responsibility for recognizing the potential in people and ideas, and has the courage to develop that potential. When we dare to lead, we don’t pretend to have the right answers; we stay curious and ask the right questions," says the book’s introduction. Learn some of the traits of being a daring leader: developing a courage culture, practicing gratitude and celebrating milestones, modeling kindness, cultivating commitment, straight talking and taking action.

Learn from BOMA Leaders - Caroline Grafft, Senior Property Manager, Hudson Pacific Properties, will lead a discussion of the book, then engage a panel to share their experiences leading teams. Hear from three knowledgeable BOMA members: Glenn Good, General Manager, Tishman Speyer; Stacey McCarthy, Associate Director, CBRE; and Liz Thomas, VP of Sales, NW Region, Allied Universal.

Click here to order "Dare to Lead" from Amazon (or better yet, order from your local retailer). Print, Kindle and audio formats are available. And don’t worry if you haven’t finished the book before the meeting.

To RSVP for the event, please email Sylwia Preis at [email protected].
