Building Decarbonization - Is Your Building Ready?

San Francisco’s Climate Action Plan has set a target date of 2035 for all large commercial buildings to eliminate onsite fossil fuel consumption. The State of California will ultimately mandate this too, with the California Air Resources Board targeting 2045 as their deadline for commercial building decarbonization. This mandate will impact the vast majority of existing buildings in the Bay Area, and it’s critical that property professionals and their engineering teams start planning now.

This program will dive into the 2021 San Francisco Climate Action Plan and the California Air Resources Board's 2022 Draft Scoping Plan, and how property owners and managers must begin preparing for the impending changes. As these plans aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, it is crucial for property management teams to understand their fiscal responsibilities and how to enact sustainable and renewable practices. This webinar will discuss ways property managers can identify areas of improvement and establish the necessary infrastructure to reduce their carbon footprint to comply. In addition, we will discuss how preparing for these changes is an essential part of ensuring that a property's operations remain cost-efficient, sustainable, and compliant with the new legislation.
