SPEAKER

Laura Ramirez | Invitation Homes
Laura is responsible for building out and leading all aspects of Invitation Homes’ Diversity & Inclusion strategy. Externally, her efforts help to elevate the company’s brand as well as attract diverse talent. Internally, she fosters greater employee engagement, experience, inclusivity, and retention. Laura leads all Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) at IH and also collaborates with other organizations focused on diversity in order to enhance Invitation Homes’ overall D&I efforts.

Prior to joining Invitation Homes, Laura successfully built out the D&I function from scratch for Ericsson North America. She helped Ericsson gain recognitions such as Forbes List of "2019 Top Employers of Choice for Diversity" and ranked in the "Top 100 for Diversity" by Mavens. During her time at Ericsson, she also launched four new ERGs and co-created their first acceleration program R.I.S.E.

Before Ericsson, Laura spent 17 years at AT&T. During this time, Laura led the D&I charge for the Women’s and Hispanic/Latino segments, creating corporate strategies which influenced the company’s direction and efforts. She administered diversity metrics, produced corporate diversity awards, managed quarterly diversity scorecards, and compiled reporting for the CEO and executive team.

She serves on the University of Texas at Dallas’ Diversity Advisory Council, the Board of Directors for Bryan’s House, and Latinas in Tech (Dallas Chapter). She is also the co-founder of the DFW Alliance of Latino Leaders and she mentors several people one on one in her free time.
