BOMA SF’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee is proud to host their very first presentation, "The Candid Conversation Series: My DEI Experience in CRE" on Wednesday, July 28th! We are honored to welcome three highly respected real estate professionals who will share their personal DEI experiences, challenges, and achievements in Commercial Real Estate. Kim Pipkin, Founder of Black Kite Consulting, will moderate the discussion to elicit the thoughts and feelings of each panel member in hopes of having an impactful and powerful, yet "Candid Conversation".

Kim Pipkin, Founder, Strategic Business Development, Marketing & Leadership Coach | Black Kite Consulting
Kim Pipkin, the founder of Black Kite Consulting, has a career that spans 25 years in leadership, business development, and marketing in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. She emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in all aspects of her interactions with clients as she believes having a fully engaged and effective workforce can only be achieved when honest conversations about DEI are at the center.  

She currently serves as the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Board Advisor for the Society of Marketing Professional Services, San Francisco Chapter (SMPS SFBAC). She is also a member of the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and Urban Land Institute (ULI) San Francisco chapters. Kim received her MBA in Marketing from St. Mary’s College of California and attended UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design graduate architecture program. She holds certificates in College Advising and Career Counseling from UC Berkeley and a certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from Cornell University.

Jose Guevara, Senior Portfolio Manager | American Assets Trust
Jose Guevara is a lifelong San Franciscan with a 25+ year career as a CRE professional in the Bay Area. A certified RPA, with a California real estate license and LEED AP designation, he is currently the Senior Portfolio Manager for American Assets Trust, a San Diego based real estate development, ownership and management Company.

Over the years, Jose has been a member of and or chaired several BOMA SF committees including the Historical Building Committee, the Energy & Environment Committee, the Emergency Preparedness Committee, and the Events Committee. He is a current BOMA SF Board member, has represented BOMA on the Board of San Francisco’s Better Market Street Project for the past 4 years, and has also been an instructor in multiple locales for BOMA’s RPA Program and Foundations courses since 2008.

Ebony Horace, Senior Property Manager | Cushman & Wakefield
Ebony’s journey in CRE began at LBA Realty as a Property Assistant. Equipped with an MBA in Business Administration & Management, she forged her own path forward while battling the external pressure to conform. Recently promoted to Senior Property Manager at 375 Beale in San Francisco with Cushman & Wakefield, Ebony is also the current Vice Chair of the BOMA SF DEI Committee.

Daniella Jimenez, Senior Marketing Manager | Lendlease Construction
Daniella is a high performing commercial real estate professional with 10+ years of experience. Starting in property management, she switched to the vendor side, and utilizes the unique insight that perspective afforded her to build durable relationships with clients, internal teams, and other organizations as the Senior Marketing Manager for Lendlease Construction. Daniella’s intersectionality also extends beyond her role, as she can speak to being a member of the LGBTQ+ community, a female in a male-dominated sector, and a member of the APPI Community.
