The Asset Management class is scheduled in six, 4-hour increments on the following days: 7/9, 7/10, 7/16, 7/17, 7/23, and 7/24 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The class is held in person.
Asset Management addresses the needs of contemporary property management professionals, who often function as asset managers or collaborate closely with them. This new powerhouse course is a combination of BOMA International and BOMI's Asset Management programs and evaluates financial performance, conducts thorough due diligence for asset acquisition and divestment, and provides guidance for handling distressed real estate-owned (REO) properties.
Key areas of emphasis include formulating an asset management plan tailored to prevailing economic conditions, measuring financial and operational objectives, and implementing tenant retention and attraction strategies. The course consists of interactive modules to improve proficiency in assessing the financial performance of buildings.
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to:

INSTRUCTOR:
Paul C. Richards, CPM, RPA | Former Vice President & Director of Property Management
Paul brings over 30 years of experience in real estate asset and property management, development, and leasing across office, industrial, and retail sectors. He is Director of Property Management at Wilson Meany, focusing on client services, agency leasing, and business development.
Paul has held senior leadership roles with leading Bay Area firms including Shorenstein, CBRE, Lincoln Property Company, Tishman West, and Rockefeller Center Development Corp. He holds both the RPA and CPM designations, is a California licensed real estate broker, and a past president of BOMA San Francisco and the San Francisco IREM. Paul currently serves on the board of the Transportation Management Association of San Francisco and teaches BOMI/RPA courses for BOMA San Francisco and BOMI Institute.
